Bissell Brothers HQ is located in a 100yearold former railway building. It rests on a small peninsula known as Thompsons Point in Portland, Maine, where the Fore River meets Casco Bay. This facility was designed to brew and sell the styledefining hoppy ales that put the company on the map, and attracts visitors from down the street and around the world seven days a week.

A traditional milk stout, originally created on the pilot system by Geoff Ballou and Pat McAnany. Now dosed with nitro for an even smoother drinking experience. 5.5% ABV
This Czech-style dark lager was first brewed by the women of Bissell Brothers and debuted in May of 2020. We loved it so much we couldnt wait until springtime to brew it again. A complex grist bill, thoughtful hopping, diligent lagering, and respect for tradition combine to create a beer perfect for any season. 5.9% ABV
Something Of Ourselves was born from a desire to create a beer that everyone can share, brewed and conceptualized by the women of Bissell Brothers. We decided on a straightforward rice lager perfect for repeated refilling over thoughtful, engaging conversation. Hopped with Saaz, the result is easy to drink, welcoming, and open for interpretation. 4.6% ABV
A balanced, mid-strength IPA that showcases the Idaho 7 hop varietal, with support provided by the venerable Amarillo and Mosaic. 6.2% ABV
DIPA brewed with malted spelt and Galaxy, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops. Kramer approved. 7.8% ABV
Our double dry-hopped Australian IPA. Brewed with a large portion of wheat and topped with Vic Secret, Ella, and Summer.
Our faithful take on German-style Pilsner. Maine pils malt base, hopped with Saaz and Mittlefruh, and horizontally layered for over a month.
Our precious flagship. Brightly dank and designed to be just mysterious enough.. Hopped with Falconer s Flight, Centennial, Apollo, Chinook, and Simcoe. 6.6% ABV
Our second DIPA, brewed as a reminder to cherish and celebrate what is, before it inevitably becomes what was. Mindfully hopped with Citra, Amarillo, Sultana, & Ekuanot. 8.2% ABV
Our pale ale hopped exclusively with Mosaic and brewed with rye. A tropical escape to a sunnier state of mind. 5.1% ABV
Our take on a Baltic Porter was fermented with our house lager yeast before spending nearly three months cold-conditioning. Think of it like the lager worldâs version of an Imperial Stout â with a smooth mouthfeel and aromas of toffee, dried fruits, and toasted marshmallow.
We loved the results of working with Elements Coffee Roasters so much on First Crack, we did the proper American thing: cranked up the volume. Second Crack implements more of everything than its sibling, but nothing is more critical than the nearly 80lbs of Elementsâ Guatemalan La Morena beans used in conditioning. Face the winter with GUSTO!
Sigil XI is the latest entry to our ongoing Sigil series, and another epic blend from JC Klecko: a wheat stout aged in bourbon barrels for 18 months, a 24 month rye old ale, and an oat stout aged in rum barrels for 11 months.
